In the village of Kolonkaya in Tunceli's Pertek district, Gendarmerie teams and the Tunceli Branch of Nature Conservation and National Parks took action following a report that individuals were engaged in illegal hunting after arriving by boat from the direction of Elazığ.

ÜNAL KARAMAN REFUSED TO ALLOW A SEARCH

While nature conservation teams moved toward the area by land and Gendarmerie teams by boat on the Keban Dam, the individuals, upon seeing the Gendarmerie, fled toward Elazığ. As a result of the Gendarmerie's persistent pursuit, the boat was stopped. When IYI Party member Ünal Karaman stated that he was a member of parliament and that they could not conduct a search, the Gendarmerie informed the public prosecutor.

Following the issuance of a search warrant by the prosecutor's office, a weapon believed to have been used in the incident was found during the inspection of the boat.

A report was filed regarding the incident, and a fine of 650 thousand lira was issued to the individuals, including the member of parliament. It was learned that investigations initiated by the teams in the region are continuing following reports from villagers that other wild goats had been shot.

On the other hand, while protection and control measures for wildlife have been increased under the instructions of Tunceli Governor Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu, a fine of 1 million 300 thousand lira was issued 2 days ago to individuals who were detected by drone while hunting protected wild goats.
