The Balıkesir Governor's Office has announced that entry and exit to forest areas in the city have been prohibited.

Entry and exit to forest areas throughout Balıkesir have been banned.
In a written statement issued by the Governor's Office, it was stated that, based on the latest information received from the meteorological service, air temperatures are expected to rise and winds are expected to be strong, which will increase the risk of forest fires.
In this context, it was noted that following evaluations, entry and exit to all forest areas throughout Balıkesir have been banned until October 31, 2024.
On the other hand, information regarding areas where picnics with or without fire are permitted was also shared on the Governor's Office's social media accounts.
