Fire at a hotel in Marmaris! Numerous teams dispatched

A fire that started in the boiler room of a 5-star hotel in the Marmaris district of Muğla this morning spread to the hotel rooms. Numerous fire department units, forestry teams, and ambulances were dispatched to the area to intervene.

According to the information obtained, a fire broke out for an unknown reason this morning in the boiler room of a 5-star hotel located on the Marmaris-İçmeler road.

Following the notification by staff who noticed the fire spreading to the hotel rooms, numerous fire department units, forestry teams, and ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

STATEMENT FROM THE MUĞLA PROVINCIAL DIRECTORATE OF CULTURE AND TOURISM

The statement reported that the fire was brought under control in a short time, 685 people at the hotel were evacuated, and 15 people affected by smoke were taken to the hospital by ambulance, noting that their health conditions are good.

"A fire broke out at the Grand Yazıcı Club Marmaris Palace (5-star) Hotel, operating in the İçmeler neighborhood of Marmaris district, around 05:00 on Friday, April 4, 2025. It was reported that the fire started in the hotel's boiler room. After the staff alerted the authorities, fire and medical teams were quickly dispatched to the area.

The fire was brought under control in a short time thanks to the successful intervention of the fire department teams. During the fire, 685 people staying at the hotel were evacuated. 15 people affected by smoke were taken to hospitals by ambulance for treatment. It has been reported that these individuals are in good health."
