Fire at diaper factory in Samsun: 7 firefighters injured

A fire broke out at a diaper factory in Samsun. 7 firefighters were injured in the blaze. The fire, which started around 06:00 in the morning at the Pedo diaper factory located in the Central Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) in the Şabanoğlu neighborhood of Tekkeköy district, was brought under control by midday, and cooling operations were initiated.

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality fire crews were conducting cooling operations when a concrete block collapsed. During the collapse, firefighters were trapped under the rubble. Initially, 6 people were rescued. As a result of work carried out with the help of construction machinery, one more firefighter trapped under the rubble was extracted. The injured were taken to hospitals. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
