Fire at Gaziantep University
A fire broke out at the Mavera Congress and Art Center at Gaziantep University. While the fire caused extensive material damage to the center, it was alleged that the center's fire suppression systems failed to activate.

The fire occurred towards the evening hours yesterday at the Mavera Congress and Art Center located on the Gaziantep University campus. According to allegations, a fire broke out in the center for an unknown reason. Employees who noticed the smoke reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, numerous fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.
Fire crews arriving at the scene intervened and extinguished the fire.
While the center, which hosts numerous events, suffered extensive material damage following the fire, it was alleged that the fire suppression systems did not activate.
An investigation into the fire has been launched.
