Fire at insulation factory in Sakarya: 7 injured, 2 in critical condition

Seven people, two of whom are in critical condition, were injured in a fire that broke out at an insulation factory operating in the 3rd Organized Industrial Zone in the Söğütlü district of Sakarya. The incident occurred when a mastic machine in the factory's asphalt section suddenly caught fire, causing the asphalt oil to ignite.
Following reports of the fire, AFAD, gendarmerie, fire department, and medical teams were dispatched to the area. In the fire, which was brought under control and extinguished in a short time, two employees identified as M.B. and I.H. were seriously injured, while E.Ç. and C.U. sustained minor injuries.
Medical teams arriving at the scene provided initial treatment before transporting the two seriously injured individuals to the hospital. The other two employees with minor injuries were treated at the scene.
Aerial footage of the factory where the fire broke out revealed the scale of the blaze. Gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Authorities are taking the necessary security measures for the factory to resume operations, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
