A fire broke out for an as-yet-undetermined reason on the roof of a costume jewelry shop located on the second floor of a business center on 871 Street, opposite the Kızlarağası Inn.

The fire spread to other businesses located in the business center.

Upon notification, numerous fire and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire caused heavy smoke, and shops in the business center were evacuated.

The fire was brought under control as a result of the intervention by fire crews.

The fire caused damage to numerous shops located on the second floor of the business center.

Barış Şerefli, one of the tradesmen with a shop in the area, told reporters that they smelled smoke and burning, and that those in the business center initially tried to intervene in the fire.

Explaining that the fire spread in a short time when flames rose from the roof, Şerefli said, "The places that burned are all gift shops. There are flammable materials. We did not expect it to grow this much."
