Fire that spread to forest area in İzmir brought under control

A fire that broke out on agricultural land in the Dikili district of İzmir and spread to a forest area caused moments of fear.

According to the information received, a fire broke out for reasons yet to be determined on agricultural land in the Demirtaş neighborhood. The fire spread to the forest area due to the effect of the wind.

4 aircraft, 1 helicopter, 14 water tenders, 4 water supply vehicles, 1 bulldozer, and 1 ground crew belonging to the İzmir Regional Directorate of Forestry were dispatched to the region.

The fire was brought under control with the intervention of the teams from the air and on the ground.

Cooling efforts are continuing in the region.
