First comment from MHP on Bahçeli's 'Öcalan' call: 'October 22 is a milestone in Turkish politics'

The first statement from the MHP has arrived following MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's call for the 'terrorist leader to speak in Parliament.' MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız stated, 'October 22 is a milestone in Turkish politics.'

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, in his speech at his party's group meeting, issued a call regarding Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the terrorist organization PKK: "If his isolation is lifted, let him come and speak at the DEM Party group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Let him shout that terrorism has completely ended and the organization has been liquidated."

Not stopping there, Bahçeli also requested that the terrorist leader Öcalan benefit from the 'right to hope'.

Following Bahçeli's historic remarks, the first statement came from his party, the MHP.

MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız stated in a post on his X account that today (October 22) is a milestone for Turkish politics.

The full text of Yıldız's post is as follows:

"In Turkish politics, 

October 22 is a milestone. From today on, political assessments 

will be made as 

before October 22 and after October 22."

 

 

POST ON 'RIGHT TO HOPE' FROM MHP'S YILDIZ

Yıldız also made a post regarding the 'right to hope' that Bahçeli mentioned for the terrorist leader Öcalan.

"New concepts have entered modern criminal law over time. 

One of these concepts is the 'Right to Hope,' or the right of a convict to hope for release.

This concept is used to express the right of a convict sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment to expect to be released one day."
