Fatih Altaylı, who was tried last year on allegations of using threatening language toward AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and was released on December 29 after being sentenced to four years and two months in prison, appeared in public for the first time after about a month of silence at Haldun Dormen's funeral.
Many famous names and close friends attended the funeral ceremony held for Dormen at Teşvikiye Mosque.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The legal process regarding Altaylı began last summer. Altaylı, who was detained and arrested on June 22, was convicted of "threatening the President" following the hearing held at the Istanbul 26th High Criminal Court on November 26. Altaylı had not been seen in public during the time that passed since his release from prison on December 29.
