CHP Spokesperson Sarı stated on his social media account, "It is not surprising that Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently detained in Silivri, has resigned from the CHP.
Under the guidance of CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, he served as a district head and district mayor, and subsequently became the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality with the support and insistence of Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu.
