İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu visited Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ, who is being held at Silivri Prison.

Speaking to members of the press after the visit, Dervişoğlu reported that Özdağ's health is good and his morale is high.

Stating that he had examined the file cited as the reason for Özdağ's arrest, Dervişoğlu said, "It is apparent and understood that, within the scope of the investigations, let alone an arrest, it is not even possible for people to be detained. These are actions aimed at silencing those who speak out against injustices in Turkey. At the same time, they are harbingers of the despotic regime that is being sought to be built."

Dervişoğlu said, "I always say this. No weapon is loyal to its owner," and added the following:

Let those who use the judiciary as a weapon know that if they feel it is a weapon that belongs to them, one day that weapon will find them.

They said Silivri was cold, and it really is cold. I extend my wishes for patience to everyone held inside. I will come again."

HE HAD TO CANCEL HIS VISIT ON JANUARY 30

Dervişoğlu had postponed his visit scheduled for January 30 to a later date due to a severe flu infection.
