Nuray Karalar, wife of Zeydan Karalar, spoke about the release decision granted for her husband while appearing on Sözcü Ana Haber following the ruling.
Speaking for the first time regarding the release decision, Nuray Karalar stated the following:
"I am at home right now. We were in Silivri yesterday. We returned late. Zeydan Bey said it might not be processed today; had we known, we would have waited, of course.
Our lawyers told us that an interim decision would be made on Friday, but it was not certain. That is why we returned. We were going to go back at the beginning of the week, but fortunately, we will go to welcome him. We will welcome our mayor with drums and clarinets.
Yesterday was our visitation day. We had already talked about how there would be a release and acquittal as soon as possible. 8 months of our lives are gone, but we are grateful for this too. We are very happy, we are very joyful.
We were mostly hugging him to make up for the longing, and we were talking about his daily needs. We wanted to save everything and share what we had done while we were there.
I suppose he has missed my cooking, but from this moment on, my phone and my house have become locked down. We are very excited, we are very happy. I would like to express my gratitude to the people of Adana.
From time to time, we fell into despair, of course, wondering when this process would end. There were days when we remained sleepless. It was meant to be that we would experience this in our lives as well. I am very happy that justice has been served."
