First statement from Nurullah Efe Ankut's lawyer: We are being prevented from providing legal counsel

HKP Chairman Ankut was taken into custody while under house arrest and brought to the Vatan Police Headquarters. The first statement has come from Nurullah Efe Ankut's lawyer.

Stating that the prosecutor's office cut the testimony process short due to the remarks he made while his statement was being taken in custody, his lawyer said, "We are even being prevented from providing legal counsel to our Chairman, who is taken into custody once a month."

His lawyer reacted to the situation, stating that although there is no concrete accusation against Ankut, he is being considered guilty for repeating words belonging to AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan.

Calling for support for Nurullah Efe Ankut, whose testimony was terminated by the prosecutor's order, the party's lawyer stated the following:

"We will be at the Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office today at 12:00, and we are calling on everyone; we are calling for our chairman's release."
