First statement from Sinem Topaloğlu's killer emerges: 'This is why our first argument started'
It has been learned that the suspect who shot and killed his wife, Sinem Topaloğlu, whom he was in the process of divorcing, at her home in the Beşikdüzü district of Trabzon, said in his initial statement, 'We argued about the divorce case, and I lost control of myself.'

Ali Eren Somun, who was in the process of divorcing his wife Sinem Topaloğlu in the Beşikdüzü district of Trabzon, shot the young woman with a handgun and then wounded neighborhood watchman Emrah Erata, who intervened at the scene, in the leg before fleeing on a motorcycle.
As a result of extensive search operations, the suspect was tracked down in Sinop.
After being captured in Sinop and brought to the Homicide Bureau of the Trabzon Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch, Somun was transferred to the Trabzon Courthouse in an armored vehicle following his interrogation.
In his initial statement to the police, it was learned that Somun said, "I loved Sinem; we got married about 2 years ago. I was by her side during her ship captaincy course and internship. We had lent some of our wedding gold to one of her relatives. This is why our first argument started, and our problems grew after that.
I was very worn out during the divorce process. No matter what I did, I couldn't make her change her mind.
I wanted to talk to her face-to-face. She didn't want to meet. I went to her house that night.
We argued about the divorce case, I lost control of myself, and I couldn't keep my temper in check. I didn't realize what I was doing at that moment. I had lost myself. I never wanted it to end like this."
ARRESTED
After being captured in Sinop and brought to the Homicide Bureau of the Trabzon Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch, Somun was transferred to the Trabzon Courthouse in an armored vehicle following his interrogation. Ali Eren Somun was arrested by the on-duty Criminal Judgeship of Peace on charges of "intentional killing and qualified intentional injury" and sent to prison.
