The Kremlin has issued a statement regarding the summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which was expected to take place but was postponed. Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that a meeting is possible, but it is contingent upon certain preconditions.

Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov spoke about the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that was planned to take place in Istanbul but was postponed.
Making a statement after the summit, which could not be held because Putin did not come to Istanbul, Peskov said that the meeting is still possible, but that certain conditions must be met.
“THERE WILL BE NO SUMMIT WITHOUT AN AGREEMENT”
Emphasizing that for the meeting to take place, the delegations of the two sides must first reach a consensus on the issues they are working on, Peskov noted the following:
“Such a meeting is possible if certain agreements are reached as a result of the work of the two sides' delegations. We see this as possible,” the Kremlin spokesperson said, implying that diplomatic preparations for the summit are ongoing.
NO CONTACT WITH THE US, TRUMP MEETING NOT ON THE AGENDA
The Kremlin also evaluated the possibility of a meeting with US President Donald Trump. Stating that there is currently no contact with the US, Peskov said, “We are not in contact with the US. When we think that a meeting with Trump could be beneficial, we will announce it to the public.”
