AKP Head of Culture and Art Policies and Deputy Chairman, Hatay MP Hüseyin Yayman, made statements regarding daytime television programs.

Yayman stated that during his contacts in Anatolia, he received serious complaints regarding the daytime programs aired on television channels, saying, "As the Department of Culture and Art Policies, we are a newly established unit. We express our gratitude to our President and are working at an intense pace. We have held our meetings, and we will hold meetings in Anatolia in the coming period as well. When we travel around Anatolia, people express very serious complaints to us regarding daytime programs. We see that there is a lot of content and many broadcasts, especially in live daytime programs, that do not fit the customs, morality, and family structure of Turkish society, and that these are repeated deliberately and persistently. It is impossible to accept this."

"THERE IS A DELIBERATE AND INTENTIONAL PROMOTION"

Stating that they are ready to work on regulating television programs that undermine social order, Yayman pointed out that daytime programs have become a national security issue, saying, "As the Department of Culture and Art Policies, we are ready to do whatever is necessary in this regard. If necessary, I am also ready to submit a legislative proposal to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) on this matter. Currently, daytime programs have become a national security issue. Here, the mental health of our children, the unity and solidarity of our families, the order of our society, our morality, and our spiritual values are unfortunately being trampled upon.

In these television programs, there is a sense of promotion; there is a deliberate and intentional promotion, and we do not find this right. Once again, I am making a call through you. My call to those broadcasting in the morning slot, to the broadcasters, and to everyone is: 'please, I beg you, tremble and come to your senses.' Such a broadcasting policy is unacceptable. What is your purpose, what do you want to do? What is your aim, what is your goal by explaining twisted relationships to society, what do you want from the Turkish family? The exploitation of our women to this extent, and the exploitation of pain to this extent, can never be accepted."

"I WILL SUBMIT A LEGISLATIVE PROPOSAL TO HAVE THEM REMOVED IF NECESSARY"

Expressing that he is preparing to submit a legislative proposal to the TBMM to regulate daytime programs, Yayman said, "There are very serious complaints about these programs everywhere in Anatolia. As you know, there used to be marriage programs. There were very serious complaints about them, and they ended. This time, there are very serious complaints about other types of programs. We never accept these.

If necessary, I will also submit a legislative proposal to the TBMM for these programs to be brought within a framework, to be removed if necessary, to be reorganized if necessary, and to be redefined if necessary. We never accept what is being done. Our red lines are: family, our children, our women, and the maintenance of Turkey's social order.

In the 2025 Year of the Family, it is as if a war has been declared against the family in these live broadcasts; we never accept this. This has become a national security problem. We will make a regulation on this issue as soon as possible; a cry is rising from the streets in Anatolia," he said.
