Heavy rainfall in the village of Karakaya in the Ürgüp district of Nevşehir caused flooding in the region. Citizens inside a vehicle trapped under a bridge by floodwaters were rescued through the intervention of bystanders.
According to the information obtained, the floodwaters, which rose rapidly following the rainfall, rendered the vehicle under the bridge immobile. Nearby citizens rushed to help those stranded in the vehicle.
The citizens broke the rear window of the vehicle to pull those inside to safety. The moments of the rescue were recorded by a mobile phone camera.
