Rain has continued throughout the night on the Bolu Mountain pass of the D-100 highway, while fog has formed in the region. The fog and heavy rain, which became effective as of the morning hours, have negatively affected transportation.
The fog and heavy rain, which showed their effect in the Karanlıkdere, Bakacak, Bıçkıyanı, and Kaynaşlı sections of the route in Düzce, as well as the Abant Junction, Elmalık, and Bolu Mountain Police House locations in the Bolu section, reduced visibility.
Highway, police, and gendarmerie teams patrolling the region warned drivers not to speed and to maintain their following distances.
