The surprise meeting between Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has dominated the Turkish political agenda. Following this meeting, CHP leader Özgür Özel requested a meeting with Kılıçdaroğlu.

A journalist close to Kılıçdaroğlu stated that the meeting will take place next week and will be an important step in clarifying the CHP's path to power.

IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu came together for the first time in a long time last Saturday at the Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli Commemoration Events in Nevşehir. Subsequently, at the request of Mayor İmamoğlu, the two met at Kılıçdaroğlu's home. Following the meeting, which has become a major topic in Turkey, it was reported that Özgür Özel will also meet with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

THE MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE NEXT WEEK

Journalist Gökhan Özbek, who is close to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, announced that the meeting will take place next week. Özbek's statement is as follows:

"The undisputed greatest potential presidential candidate for the CHP is Mr. İmamoğlu. We cannot know what conditions and politics will bring. But political positions and calculations must be built upon this reality.

As of today, the reality that we know, and that everyone accepted as of yesterday, is that the CHP has three pillars. The first is Mr. İmamoğlu, the second is Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu, and the third is the General Headquarters.

None of these can maneuver or calculate political prospects while one is missing! The Kılıçdaroğlu-Özel meeting to be held at the beginning of next week will make the waters even clearer. The CHP's march to power will be crowned by clarifying everything before this year ends..."
