Food fraudsters know no bounds: They make sucuk for 75 liras and sell it for 250 liras
Food terrorists disregard human health, taking advantage of every opportunity they find. Most recently, it was determined that a company in Afyonkarahisar was selling unhealthy sucuk, which it produced for 75 liras, for 250 liras. As if that were not enough, it was also revealed that they were producing olive oil using flavorings and colorants.

During an operation targeting companies and individuals committing food fraud in Afyonkarahisar, stomach-churning scenes emerged, revealing that one individual was producing sucuk at a cost of 75 TL and selling it on social media for 250 TL, while another individual was producing fake olive oil using cottonseed and soybean oils.
THEY TARGETED HUMAN HEALTH FOR MONEY
An operation was carried out by teams from the Afyonkarahisar Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the Provincial Gendarmerie Command against companies and individuals committing food fraud. During the operation, it was determined that an individual, disregarding human health, was selling unhealthy sucuk, which they produced for 75 TL, for 250 TL via social media accounts. In the operation, it was also determined that another individual was producing and offering for sale fake olive oil by adding flavorings and colorants to cottonseed and soybean oils.
EVEN NARCOTICS WERE SEIZED
Subsequently, teams raiding the addresses of the individuals and companies seized 380 kilograms of adulterated, unlabeled sucuk, 400 liters of olive oil in 80 five-liter bottles, 324 grams of cannabis, and 40 narcotic pills during their searches.
It was reported that individuals were taken into custody following the incident.
