Footage has emerged in which CHP Deputy Chairman Berhan Şimşek is alleged to have assaulted his former partner, Özlem Şanver, with whom he was reportedly in a relationship for approximately 10 years.
In the footage, it is alleged that Şimşek kicked Şanver in the leg and then attempted to force her into the house as she tried to break free from his grasp. In the video, Şanver can be heard shouting "Let me go" as she is taken inside.

Berhan Şimşek had previously stated regarding the allegations, "I did not even lay a finger on her; there is no concrete evidence regarding the allegations to date." It was reported that Şanver shared an official forensic case report dated October 21, 2021, issued by the T.R.
