Footage of the armed attack on Seren Yüce at his home has emerged

The investigation launched by police teams following the armed attack on renowned director Seren Yüce in Istanbul's Şişli district continues to expand. Details regarding the attack on Yüce, who was wounded at his home on Kazım Orbay Street on December 30, 2025, and developments in the investigation have been shared with the public.

According to police findings, the attackers approached the building where Yüce lives under the pretext of a cargo delivery. On the day of the incident, one of the two individuals who arrived by motorcycle entered the building, fired his weapon, and quickly fled the scene. The moments of the attack and the escape were captured by the building's security cameras.

In their statements, Yüce and his wife reported that they had recently begun receiving threats and had also been called on their mobile phones on the day of the incident, information which shifted the course of the investigation. Following the clues obtained, police identified the address in Kağıthane where the motorcycle with fake license plates used by the suspects was being hidden.

During the operation conducted there, the motorcycle driver T.K. (27) and U.G. (36), who provided the vehicle, were apprehended and taken into custody by police. A search of the house revealed an unlicensed handgun, numerous rounds of ammunition, and materials used in the attack.

The primary perpetrator of the incident, B.Y. (27), along with F.F.K. (32) and M.R.T. (30), who played a role in planning the attack, were captured in a raid conducted in Marmaraereğlisi, Tekirdağ, on January 5.

Of the suspects apprehended, T.K. was arrested by the court, while U.G. was released under judicial control conditions. The processing of the other three suspects at the police station is ongoing.
