On August 13, 2025, a Ferrari left at a repair shop in Büyükçekmece was taken out for a test drive by a mechanic. However, the mechanic lost control of the steering during the drive, causing a major accident. This incident became a prominent topic in Turkey.
The Ferrari, which had been purchased by Ömer Çelik just five days before the accident, had previously sustained damage multiple times. Existing damage to the vehicle's chassis and frame led to further destruction during the crash. Repair mechanic Hakan Yılmaz stated that the vehicle was sold for approximately half of its market value.

According to a report by NTV, the damaged car was sold to footballer Sercan Türk. The 34-year-old Türk, who plays for Bakırköyspor, is known for his interest in luxury and classic cars. Türk, who often collects and repairs damaged vehicles, has added this Ferrari to his collection.
Yılmaz stated that he would pay the owner the remainder of the proceeds from the sale, ensuring no one suffers any loss. He also noted that he continues to operate his luxury vehicle service business.
