Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan makes sharp remarks in Egypt: 'Hold Israel's leash'

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan was received by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Minister Fidan, who later held a press conference with the Egyptian Foreign Minister as part of his program, made significant statements.

Touching upon Egypt-Turkey relations, Minister Fidan announced that a trade meeting between Ankara and Cairo would take place soon and stated that Egypt-Turkey relations have gained momentum.

Speaking about the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh and the rising tension in the Middle East in recent days, Hakan Fidan said the following:

"Israel does not want peace. Israel is pursuing expansionism. Those who listen to Israel unconditionally are the primary culprits of this brutality.

'ISRAEL IS LEAVING GAZANS IT COULD NOT KILL HUNGRY AND THIRSTY'

Netanyahu wants to set the entire region on fire. The place for war criminals cannot be the parliamentary podium. That place should be the defendant's bench.

Israel is deliberately leaving Gazans, whom it could not kill with bombs, hungry and thirsty. We are conducting intensive diplomacy to stop this. The path to peace in the Middle East lies in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Israel cannot impose its will on this matter. We will submit our file to intervene in the genocide case on Wednesday."
