Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan was received by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Minister Fidan, who later held a press conference with the Egyptian Foreign Minister as part of his program, made significant statements.
Touching upon Egypt-Turkey relations, Minister Fidan announced that a trade meeting between Ankara and Cairo would take place soon and stated that Egypt-Turkey relations have gained momentum.
Speaking about the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh and the rising tension in the Middle East in recent days, Hakan Fidan said the following:
"Israel does not want peace. Israel is pursuing expansionism. Those who listen to Israel unconditionally are the primary culprits of this brutality.
'ISRAEL IS LEAVING GAZANS IT COULD NOT KILL HUNGRY AND THIRSTY'
Netanyahu wants to set the entire region on fire. The place for war criminals cannot be the parliamentary podium. That place should be the defendant's bench.
Israel is deliberately leaving Gazans, whom it could not kill with bombs, hungry and thirsty. We are conducting intensive diplomacy to stop this. The path to peace in the Middle East lies in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
Israel cannot impose its will on this matter. We will submit our file to intervene in the genocide case on Wednesday."
'ISRAEL HAS TREACHEROUSLY KILLED THE CHIEF NEGOTIATOR OF THE CEASEFIRE TALKS'
Israel has killed the chief negotiator of the ceasefire talks in a treacherous assassination. I condemn the attack once again. We commemorate the martyr Haniyeh with respect.
We stand with Sudan. We appreciate Egypt's aid efforts.
We discussed what we can do in the coming period to stop the brutality in Gaza. Egypt has put in a great deal of effort regarding mediation. The party that always disrupts the negotiations is Israel. Not stopping there, they treacherously killed the chief negotiator. I remember Haniyeh with mercy.
'ITS OWNERS MUST TIGHTEN ISRAEL'S LEASH AND STOP IT'
We saw Netanyahu, who is being tried for genocide at the International Court of Justice, giving a speech in the US.
Israel's owners must now take hold of its leash and rein it in.
The place where war criminals should sit is not the congress, but the defendant's chair.
We have delivered more than 56 thousand tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
'WE ARE SUBMITTING OUR FILE TO THE COURT ON WEDNESDAY'
We had previously announced that we would intervene in the genocide case in which Israel is being tried.
We are submitting our application file to the court on Wednesday."
"As two powerful actors in the region, we are determined to be in cooperation," said Hakan Fidan, adding, "We will continue to work together in every field in the coming period."
