Foreign ministers of five countries received by Erdoğan at Dolmabahçe: A striking photo

Erdoğan received the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, and Armenia at the Dolmabahçe Palace.

AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan was joined at his meeting with the ministers at the Dolmabahçe Working Office by Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, and Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç.

The reception was held behind closed doors.

Erdoğan shook hands with each of the ministers who arrived at Dolmabahçe. It was noted that Erdoğan brought together the foreign ministers of neighboring countries in the region at the Dolmabahçe Palace.

AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan had also spoken about the danger Israel poses to Turkey during the new legislative year of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

STATEMENT REGARDING PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN'S RECEPTION OF THE FOREIGN MINISTERS

Erdoğan stated that Turkey attaches great importance to the 3+3 Regional Cooperation Platform, which was established with the understanding that regional problems should be solved through dialogue, and that it is gratifying to see the face of the South Caucasus changing on the path to lasting peace.

According to the statement made by the Presidential Communications Directorate, Erdoğan received Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who are in Turkey for the 3+3 Regional Cooperation Platform meeting, at the Presidential Dolmabahçe Office.

During the reception, the lasting peace process in the South Caucasus as well as regional and global issues were discussed.

Stating that Turkey will continue to provide all kinds of support to the efforts made to ensure lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, President Erdoğan expressed that the developments in the region make it necessary to strengthen cooperation and solidarity, and that transforming the platform into an institutional structure would make the established dialogue mechanism more effective.

President Erdoğan noted that Israel is seeking provocations to spread conflicts in the region, that with each passing day that a ceasefire is not achieved, the world is moving closer to a regional war, that an arms embargo to be imposed on Israel at the United Nations would be an effective step to stop Israeli aggression, and that Turkey will continue to voice this on every platform.
