Foreign Ministry announces: Hamas officials have contacted Turkey
Hamas informed Turkey that despite the US "painting a rosy picture" regarding the negotiations, the reality is different, and Israel did not even provide a response to the mediators' proposals during last week's talks.

According to Foreign Ministry sources, Hamas officials contacted Turkey over the weekend to provide information regarding the negotiation process with Israel.
Hamas officials pointed out that while the Americans are "painting a rosy picture" regarding the progress of the negotiations, the actual situation in the talks is not as described.
According to Hamas, the conditions put forward by Israel have fallen behind the scenario previously supported by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on June 10 and even behind the conditions approved by Hamas on July 2.
Accordingly, Israel wants Hamas to accept Israel's presence in the Philadelphi Corridor; to control checkpoints in the Netzarim Corridor and monitor Gazans moving from south to north; and to be able to veto 100 names from a list of approximately 300 prisoners that Hamas wants released.
Another additional demand includes the number of Palestinians Israel wants to be exiled from Gaza and Ramallah. In this context, Israel is demanding that 200 individuals leave Palestine.
According to the information Hamas provided to Turkish Foreign Ministry officials, Israel did not even submit a response to the mediators' proposals during last week's talks. According to Hamas, the ultimate goal of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is to gain time to continue the military operation.
