Foreign Ministry reacts to EU assessments

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "(Regarding the EU General Affairs Council Conclusions) We reject the EU's assessments concerning our country's internal political dynamics. The legitimate concerns and justified policies of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have been ignored. We remind the EU that its acting as a spokesperson for the Greek Cypriot side and ignoring the inherent rights of the Turkish Cypriot people is the greatest obstacle to reaching a solution on the Island."
