The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has requested a report from the Council of Forensic Medicine (ATK) to evaluate whether it is appropriate for Ayşe Barım to remain in prison due to her health condition. Barım, who was summoned to the ATK for an examination on July 11, had a report sent to the prosecutor's office following the evaluations conducted there.

In its decision issued on July 23, the 11th Specialized Board of the ATK stated that Barım's health condition must be examined in detail. It was stated that a final assessment regarding whether it is medically appropriate for Barım to remain in prison will be made following examinations to be conducted in various clinics, including Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, and Neurosurgery.

The report, which emphasized that the etiology of Barım's weight loss must be investigated and necessary cardiac procedures must be performed, stated that a detailed medical board report should be prepared after she is discharged from the hospital. Following this report, a decision will be made as to whether it is medically inadvisable for Barım to remain in prison.
