Forest fire breaks out in Çanakkale

A forest fire has broken out in the Biga district of Çanakkale. Teams dispatched to the area upon notification are intervening in the flames both from the air and on the ground. 

The fire, which broke out in an area near the Çiçeklidede region, started around 13:00. Due to the effect of the wind, the flames spread over a large area in a short time. 

Upon the notification of those in the vicinity, teams from the Çanakkale Regional Directorate of Forestry were dispatched to intervene in the fire. 

The fire is being fought with 2 aircraft from the air and numerous fire trucks on the ground.
