Efforts to bring the forest fire that broke out near the Karagedik neighborhood at around 19:30 under control are continuing without interruption in the region.

Due to the strong winds effective in the area, the flames have advanced toward residential areas.

While some houses have been engulfed by the flames, evacuation efforts are being carried out in the region simultaneously.

With nightfall, aerial intervention is no longer possible, but ground-based firefighting efforts continue.

Local citizens are also supporting the efforts, while attempts are being made to prevent the flames from advancing toward houses using heavy machinery.

Work to bring the fire in the region under control is ongoing.
