Former Democrat Party provincial chair involved in traffic accident
It has been learned that former Democrat Party Istanbul Provincial Chair Ekrem Eray Arda was involved in a traffic accident that occurred near Yalı Neighborhood in Maltepe, Istanbul.

The accident occurred at approximately 02:15 on Turgut Özal Boulevard in Yalı Neighborhood.
According to allegations, the car with license plate 34 NMT 13, driven by Deniz Güner, collided with the SUV with license plate 34 EA 9696, driven by Samet Eren and carrying former Democrat Party Istanbul Provincial Chair Ekrem Eray Arda, while attempting a U-turn on a road where U-turns are prohibited by signs. The force of the collision caused the car to spin, strike a traffic light pole, and overturn.
Fortunately, there were no injuries in the accident, and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. Following the teams' investigation at the scene, an alcohol test administered to the drivers revealed that the car driver, Deniz Güner, had a blood alcohol level of 1.02 promille. Güner was taken to the police station to provide a statement, while the vehicles involved in the accident were removed from the scene by a tow truck.
