Former IMM Medya A.Ş. General Manager İpek Elif Atayman arrested

Former Medya A.Ş. General Manager İpek Elif Atayman was detained at her home in Şişli as part of two separate investigations into the IMM.

Atayman, who was referred to the courthouse following police processing, was arrested after giving her statement to the prosecutor's office.

The term "fugitive" had been used for Atayman due to an arrest warrant issued while she was on an overseas vacation, even though she had returned to the country voluntarily to provide a statement; the use of this term had sparked significant backlash.
