Statement from former MASAK official on İmamoğlu: 'There is no such finding'
Former MASAK Vice President Ramazan Başak made a clear statement regarding the MASAK reports cited as the basis for corruption allegations against Ekrem İmamoğlu. Başak emphasized that there is no finding in the reports concerning the alleged accusations.

Decisions regarding 89 individuals were announced in the corruption investigation conducted into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB). Arrest warrants were issued within the scope of "corruption" and "terrorism" investigations.
While 45 people, including İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, his advisor Murat Ongun, IPA Board Chairman Buğra Gökce, and Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık, were arrested, 44 people were released with a travel ban and judicial control conditions.
Among those arrested in the corruption investigation is Serdar Haydanlı, whom CHP Chairman Özgür Özel stated had been "detained and released from the police station."
In the "terrorism" investigation, the request for the arrest of İmamoğlu was rejected. However, Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, İBB Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, and Reform Institute Director Mehmet Ali Çalışkan have been arrested.
FORMER MASAK VICE PRESIDENT RESPONDS TO CORRUPTION ALLEGATIONS
Former MASAK Vice President Ramazan Başak stated in a post on his social media account that it is incorrect to base corruption allegations on MASAK reports. Başak used the following expressions:
“Corruption allegations are persistently being based on MASAK reports. However, there is absolutely no such finding in MASAK reports. MASAK does not have such a duty either. Those who claim this are clearly committing a crime.”
