It was revealed that THY Opet employee Fırat İsmail Yeleri had made posts insulting Atatürk and calling for the beheading of women who do not cover their heads.
STATEMENT FROM THE COMPANY
Following the emergence of the scandalous posts, THY Opet announced that Yeleri's employment contract had been terminated.
The statement read, "Following investigations into allegations that one of the employees of the security company from which we receive services as a subcontractor made social media posts containing insults directed at our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, we would like to inform you that the employment contract of the person in question has been terminated by the relevant company. We state that we never accept this situation, which is contrary to our company's principles, and we present this to the public's information."
However, Yeleri continued to target Atatürk. Quoting Prof. Dr. Özgür Demirtaş's post about Atatürk, Yeleri used the phrase, "The most effective photo to be put on alcohol and cigarette labels under the title 'In just 7 years'."
The fact that no investigation has been opened into Yeleri, who frequently targets Atatürk with posts on his social media account, has sparked reactions.
