A school bus carrying students collided with a semi-truck in the Pamukçu area of Balıkesir's Altıeylül district.

It was reported that there were 29 people on the school bus at the time of the accident, 27 of whom were students.
Balıkesir Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu announced that 8 students were seriously injured in the accident.

In his statement, Governor Ustaoğlu said, "A two-vehicle traffic accident occurred in the Pamukçu area of central Balıkesir on 25.12.2024 at approximately 08:53, involving a school bus carrying a total of 29 passengers, 27 of whom were students, colliding with a semi-truck. According to initial findings, 8 of our students are in serious condition. All of our students have been transferred to hospitals, and further information will be provided as developments occur."
