According to information on the website of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the tremor occurred at a depth of 10.26 kilometers.
Some citizens who felt the earthquake in the city center were seen leaving their homes.
In a statement made on the social media account of the Afyonkarahisar Governorship, it was stated that an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 occurred at 03:14, with its epicenter in the center of Afyonkarahisar and at a depth of 10.26 kilometers.
The statement noted the following:
"There have been no reports of any negative situations to the 112 Emergency Call Center so far. All our relevant institutions are continuing their work following the earthquake. Our teams are continuing their scans in the city center and districts. Please take care not to occupy the 112 emergency line with false reports. Get well soon to all our citizens."
