Funeral arrangements for journalist Hikmet Çetinkaya announced
The funeral arrangements for journalist and author Hikmet Çetinkaya, who passed away at the age of 83 due to multiple organ failure, have been finalized.

Hikmet Çetinkaya, who served as a columnist for Cumhuriyet newspaper for many years and spent over half a century in journalism, had been intubated due to health problems he had been experiencing for some time. The 83-year-old Çetinkaya passed away yesterday at the hospital where he was receiving treatment.
A memorial service will first be held for the veteran writer at the Turkish Journalists Association on Tuesday, July 9.
Following this, a funeral prayer will be held at the Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque after the noon prayer.
Çetinkaya's remains will be laid to rest at the Çengelköy YK Cemetery in Üsküdar.
