Galata Bridge closed to traffic
The New Galata Bridge was closed to traffic as of 01:30 AM. It was stated that the bridge will remain closed to traffic until 04:30 AM due to maintenance and repair work.

The Istanbul Governor's Office had announced that the New Galata Bridge would be closed to traffic due to maintenance and repair work. The bridge was closed to traffic at 01:30 AM. While the road was blocked with tow trucks, precautions were also taken with barriers. Maintenance and repair work will be carried out on the bridge, which will remain closed to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic until 04:30 AM. Although the Istanbul Governor's Office made the announcement during the day, it was observed that some drivers were unaware of the bridge's closure and had to turn back.
