WHAT HAPPENED AT THE DERBY?
The petition states that following the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby played last night, Ali Koç threatened Galatasaray Club Board Member and Secretary General Eray Yazgan with the words, "Get out of here, if you don't get out, you're going to get beaten up." It was also noted that Fenerbahçe Manager İsmail Kartal’s son, Emre Kartal, and other suspects to be identified from the footage, threatened and assaulted Galatasaray Sports Club Stadium Manager Ali Çelikkıran.
The petition alleges that Ali Koç's statement to the press after the match, in which he said, "Actually, today we showed the dishonorable, the unscrupulous, the thieves, and the base who the real champion is," was aimed at the Galatasaray community.
The criminal complaint, which includes 10 complainants including Galatasaray Sports Club presidential candidate Bedii Süheyl Batum, requests that a lawsuit be filed against Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Ali Koç and 5 others for the crimes of "intentional injury," "threat," "insult," and "inciting the public to hatred and hostility or degrading them."
Following the submission of the criminal complaint to the prosecutor's office, Batum and his lawyers made a statement to the press.
Batum claimed that Ali Koç had threatened the Galatasaray Secretary General after the match and stated that they do not accept this situation.
Explaining that they have filed a criminal complaint regarding the matter, Batum said, "Galatasaray is never without an owner. Galatasaray is not a place where you can gather 20-30 people and raid the stadium. Whoever does this, we will demonstrate that no one who says 'I trust in my money and my power' can do this."
