It is alleged that the search took place at the summer house in the Edremit district of Balıkesir.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was detained in a dawn raid on March 19, 2025, and was sent to prison four days later after being arrested on charges of "corruption."

Journalist Barış Pehlivan brought a striking allegation to the agenda during a live broadcast he participated in on Onlar TV. Pehlivan stated that there is information that a search was conducted by security forces at the home of Ekrem İmamoğlu's father.

Pehlivan used the following expressions:

Following Pehlivan's statement, journalist Barış Terkoğlu also confirmed the allegations. Terkoğlu stated that İmamoğlu's father's summer house is located in the Edremit district of Balıkesir and that the search was conducted in this region.
