2025 public housing rental rates determined! How much will they be?

Details regarding the 2025 public housing rent prices have been announced. The General Communiqué on National Real Estate published in the Official Gazette has determined the rent prices for public housing on a per-square-meter basis.

Accordingly:

Adobe, wooden, and lath-and-plaster residences: 8.15 TL/m²

Residences without central heating: 12.74 TL/m²

Residences with central heating: 16.71 TL/m²

In addition to the rent prices, extra fees will be charged for certain services:

Residences provided with heating and janitorial services: 1.96 TL/m²

Residences where electricity and water meters are not separated: If there is no electricity meter: 3.71 TL/m²

If there is no water meter: 3.22 TL/m²

If neither is present: 6.92 TL/m²

Residences using water supplied from a well: 1.73 TL/m²

Electricity and water expenses will be collected from the user based on the actual usage cost. In cases where there is no meter, the specified additional fees will be applied.

FUEL COSTS AND COMMON EXPENSES

In residences with central heating where the fuel is covered by the institution and there is no heat sharing device, a fuel cost of 6.68 TL per square meter will be charged.

In residences equipped with a heat cost allocator or calorimeter device, the fuel cost will be calculated based on the consumption of the independent unit.

Additionally, 0.78 TL/m² will be charged in addition to rent and fuel costs for electricity, water, and similar expenses in common areas.

WHEN WILL IT COME INTO EFFECT?

The General Communiqué on National Real Estate will be effective as of January 15, 2025.

Those residing in public housing will be required to make payments according to the new rates.
