205 kilograms of cocaine found in diplomatic vehicle: Three crescents found inside!
A total of 205 kilograms and 940 grams of cocaine were seized in a vehicle with diplomatic plates attempting to enter Turkey from Bulgaria. The packages, taped with a three-crescent emblem, were a striking detail of the operation. Among those detained are individuals with Congolese and Belgian citizenship who hold diplomatic passports.

A total of 205 kilograms and 940 grams of cocaine, hidden inside suitcases, were seized in a vehicle with diplomatic plates that was about to enter Turkey from Bulgaria.
The operation was carried out on July 18 at Bulgaria's Kapitan Andreevo Border Gate. As part of the operation dubbed "Orient Express," a blow was dealt to an internationally linked drug trafficking network.
PLACED UNDER SURVEILLANCE UPON ENTRY FROM SERBIA
The vehicle targeted in the operation was placed under surveillance by police from the moment it entered Bulgaria from the Serbian border. It was learned that the person driving the vehicle was 43-year-old Bulgarian citizen D.H. Also in the SUV were 40-year-old Democratic Republic of the Congo citizen Zh.M. and 54-year-old Congo-born Belgian citizen D.A.
The embassy vehicle, stopped at the Kapitan Andreevo Customs, was sent for an x-ray scan following a reaction from the narcotics dog 'Raya.' As a result of the scan, unusual density was detected in five suitcases located in the vehicle's trunk. In the detailed search that followed, 205 kilograms and 940 grams of cocaine were found in a total of 179 packages inside the suitcases.
VALUED AT 37 MILLION LEVA
It was reported that the market value of the seized drugs is approximately 37 million leva (approximately 670 million TL). Three suspects in the vehicle were detained as part of the operation.
Following the successful operation, the Bulgarian Minister of Finance held a press conference regarding the matter. The Minister announced that an investigation has been launched against the 3 suspects caught on charges of "attempting to transport high-risk narcotic substances from Bulgaria to Turkey across the border without the necessary permits."
THREE-CRESCENT PACKAGE DREW ATTENTION
The most discussed aspect of the operation was the presence of a three-crescent emblem on one of the cocaine packages found in the suitcases. This image was clearly visible in the videos taken during the operation and quickly became a trending topic on social media.

Footage of the operation in question was published on the official website of the Bulgarian Customs Agency. It can be seen that the packages were wrapped in an orderly fashion and that special symbols were used on some of them.
