According to Saymaz, in line with the instructions given by Erdoğan, the AKP is reorganizing its form of representation in television programs.
Accordingly, the defense of government policies will no longer be carried out through pro-government journalists appearing on screen, but directly through AKP members of parliament and party officials.
The change in question is planned to be implemented after the completion of the budget negotiations in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
It was stated that after this process, members of parliament and party officials will appear more frequently on television screens on behalf of the AKP.
İsmail Saymaz stated that in the new period, pro-government journalists will remain in the background on screen, and the task of defending the AKP will be directly assumed by party cadres.
