As part of an illegal betting investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Organized Crime Investigation Bureau, many companies, including Flash TV, Pozitifbank, and Payfix Payment Institution, have been seized.
Within the framework of the investigation, an operation was carried out against the criminal organization allegedly led by Erkan Kork, the owner of the companies in question.
It was stated that Erkan Kork is being investigated on charges of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "laundering assets derived from crime," and "violating the Law No. 7258 on the Regulation of Betting and Games of Chance in Football and Other Sports Competitions." As part of the dawn operation, 59 people, including Kork, were detained.
ASSETS WORTH 6.9 BILLION LIRA SEIZED
Within the scope of the investigation, assets belonging to the alleged members of the organization with a total value of 6 billion 900 million lira were seized. Many real estate and financial assets, including 17 residences, 9 plots of land, 1 office, 13 vehicles, and the suspects' personal accounts and crypto wallets, were frozen.
In addition, 23 companies and a total of 114 vehicles belonging to these companies were seized. The partnership shares of the companies and the crypto wallets belonging to the companies were also blocked.
