Allegations of a fight at Silivri Prison: Shocking words from Enver Aysever to Ekrem İmamoğlu! Statement from his lawyer...

Journalist and author Enver Aysever was arrested due to statements he made during a broadcast on his YouTube channel.

In his December 10 broadcast, Enver Aysever had targeted the comments regarding communism made by Hasan İmamoğlu, the father of Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was arrested and removed from his post as Mayor of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

Speaking to the newspaper Sözcü on December 10, Hasan İmamoğlu had stated, "I fought my whole life so that communism would not come to this country, and I regret it. There is no need for communism anymore. Because communism is declared whenever they want. Your property and assets are seized."

Aysever reacted to these words by saying, "Hasan İmamoğlu has failed to understand that what happened to his son was due to right-wing politics," and continued his remarks as follows:

"It is all the right-wingers since Menderes who have corrupted the morality of the Republic. Right-wing politics is a crime. When you are a right-winger, you become immoral, or your morality becomes immorality."

Following these statements, Aysever was detained in the middle of the night on charges of "inciting the public to hatred and hostility or insulting them," and was subsequently arrested by the court he was referred to and sent to Marmara Prison in Silivri, Istanbul.

"HE SAID GET WELL SOON" BUT…

According to the claim by Mahmut Övür from the pro-government newspaper Sabah, a notable incident occurred at Silivri Prison on Saturday.

Writing that CHP's imprisoned presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu had wished Enver Aysever a speedy recovery, Mahmut Övür shared striking allegations regarding the developments that allegedly took place afterward:

"According to the claim rapidly spreading in judicial circles, while former CHP MP Aykut Erdoğdu and Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney were conveying their well wishes and chatting with journalist Enver Aysever, who had just arrived at the prison, an unexpected name intervened and extended his hand to Aysever: 'Welcome Enver, get well soon...'"

It was stated that the person who said these words was CHP's presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is imprisoned on charges of "corruption."

However, according to the claim, the hand İmamoğlu extended remained in the air, and the harsh response given by Aysever stunned everyone present, including prison officials:

"Pull your dirty hand away, I do not shake the hands of thieves..."

STATEMENT FROM ENVER AYSEVER'S LAWYER

Mikail Dilbaz, the lawyer for journalist Enver Aysever, who allegedly told IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, "I do not shake the hands of thieves" when they encountered each other in prison, spoke to 12punto regarding the report by Sabah that dominated the agenda.

Dilbaz stated, "I also learned of the claim from Mahmut Övür's article. I will meet with him and share the information..."

On the other hand, speaking to Halk TV, lawyer Yiğit Akalın denied Övür's account.

Akalın stated, "It is a lie. When I was meeting with him yesterday, Aysever was at the very beginning. Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu shouted 'get well soon.' He also stood up and opened his door so his voice would carry, and said, 'Thank you, Mr. Mayor, to you as well.'"
