36-year-old landscape architect Ece Gürel was found four days after going missing in the Belgrade Forest, but she had passed away due to hypothermia and internal bleeding. Following the incident, it came to light that Gürel was interested in spirituality and had a curiosity for topics such as fortune-telling and horoscope readings.

According to NTV, Gürel, who was interested in astrology and similar fields, was taking lessons from Hale Nur Özen, who claims to be the founder of a discipline she calls "astrolomy." Özen also provided training on various topics such as "witchcraft," and Gürel was one of her many students.

While Gürel was missing, Özen published a video on her social media account explaining that Gürel attended her classes. When she published this video, Gürel had been missing for three days. In the video, while conducting an online meeting with her students, her goal was less about providing information regarding Gürel and more about warning her students not to speak to the press and reinforcing her authority. Stating that she had also worked as a journalist for a time, Özen reacted to the claims appearing in the news. She also stated, "Ece would perform lead pouring for everyone, she wouldn't take money, she would ask for donations to be made."

Stating that they had known each other for about two years, Özen touched upon the incident of Gürel's disappearance in the later parts of the conversation. Noting that she had her star chart in her possession, she made the following statement:

"We have Ece's natal (star) chart information. 10 astrologer friends requested it from me today, but we will not share it. If one of my students shares it, they will fall out with me."

With these words, she warned her students not to leak information about Gürel. It was noted that she gave a harsh response to a student's questions and removed them from the group.

Claiming to have analyzed the process of Gürel's disappearance based on her star chart, Özen warned her students with the following words:

"We will not share any private information. We have the natal information of every one of our students. We will have very big problems. Both the person who takes it and the person who gives it will be in trouble; I will be monitoring this."

Claiming that they had conducted "strong analyses" regarding Ece's disappearance, Özen continued her statement as follows:

"We have strong analyses, but we are not publishing them. We looked at the chart of the moment she went missing and Ece's chart. We have degrees obtained through 6 years of study that we have determined specifically for astrolomy. The degree of Mars has a disorientation effect. According to the astrolomy chart, there is a major disorientation involved in Ece's disappearance."

SHARED A MESSAGE BLAMING THE WORKPLACE

Although Özen stated that she would not provide information about her student, she continued to share messages coming to her social media account. One of these was a message regarding the problems Gürel was experiencing at her workplace.

In the message, a person who said they provided consulting to Ece stated that they had discussed her being fired without severance in 2023 and said, "I wanted to write because there was a lot of pressure on you. I think it wasn't a ritual or something similar as everyone is saying."

Özen's speech ended by advertising her new website and announcing that they would soon switch to a subscription system.
