Attention those making holiday plans! Meteorology warns 68 provinces

The General Directorate of Meteorology has shared the latest weather forecasts for the second day of the holiday. According to the statement, a large part of Turkey will be affected by heavy rain on Monday, March 31, 2025.

Local heavy rainfall is expected in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, especially starting from the night hours. These rains will be effective in areas covering the south of Bingöl, the northeast of Diyarbakır, the north of Batman, and the surroundings of Siirt, Şırnak, and Hakkari.

STORM WARNING IN THE AEGEAN

In the Aegean Region, the wind is expected to blow as a storm from the southeast at force 6 to 8. The storm is expected to show its effect after noon on March 31 and could strengthen to force 9 in the south on Tuesday morning. The storm is expected to lose its effect on Tuesday evening.

HEAVY RAIN IN THE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN

In the Eastern Mediterranean region, showers and thunderstorms will be effective. Local heavy rainfall (21-50 kg/m²) is expected in the surroundings of Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, and Kilis. Very heavy rainfall (21-75 kg/m²) may be effective in the eastern parts of Kahramanmaraş. For this reason, a warning has been issued for those living in the region to be careful.

Istanbul, Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Yalova, Kocaeli, Bursa, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Düzce, Zonguldak, Bartın, Bolu, Karabük, Sinop, Sakarya, İzmir, Aydın, Manisa, Muğla, Antalya, Burdur, Isparta, Uşak, Denizli, Kütahya, Bilecik, Kastamonu, Çankırı, Ankara, Konya, Karaman, Antalya, Adana, Hatay, Osmaniye, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Elazığ, Tunceli, Erzincan, Diyarbakır, Mardin, Batman, Şırnak, Hakkari, Bitlis, Van, Muş, Bingöl, Ağrı, Iğdır, Kars, Ardahan, Bayburt, Gümüşhane, Sivas, Tokat, Amasya, Samsun, Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Rize, Artvin.
