Breaking development regarding Ayşe Barım: Judge who granted Barım's release reassigned

Kapan has been appointed as a consumer court judge at the same courthouse.

An investigation has been launched by the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) into Fatih Kapan, the judge of the Istanbul 8th Criminal Court of First Instance, who ordered the release of talent manager Ayşe Barım, who was arrested in the Gezi protests investigation.
Following the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's objection to the release order issued by the judge, the 20th High Criminal Court overturned the release decision and ruled for the continuation of Barım's detention.
RELEASE ORDER HAD BEEN ISSUED
Ayşe Barım had been arrested on allegations of directing the Gezi resistance protests. Following the release order issued by Kapan, the court had initially decided for Barım's release from prison.
However, upon the objection of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the 20th High Criminal Court canceled the release order and ruled for Barım to be re-arrested.
FATİH KAPAN'S POST CHANGED
According to the report by journalist Alican Uludağ, the HSK removed Fatih Kapan from his post and appointed him as a consumer court judge at the same courthouse in Istanbul. The investigation launched into Kapan is still ongoing.
Uludağ shared the following statements on his social media account regarding the matter:
"The HSK has removed Fatih Kapan, the judge of the Istanbul 8th Criminal Court of First Instance who ordered the release of talent manager Ayşe Barım, who was arrested in the Gezi protests investigation, and appointed him as a consumer court judge at the same courthouse. The HSK investigation into Kapan is also continuing."
