Following the detention of talent manager Ayşe Barım on allegations that she was one of the planners of the Gezi Resistance, famous actors were also called to testify as witnesses in the ongoing investigation.
New details have emerged in the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
A SINGLE QUESTION FOR FAMOUS NAMES
Actors Halit Ergenç, Bergüzar Korel, Mehmet Günsür, Ceyda Düvenci, Nejat İşler, Rıza Kocaoğlu, and Nehir Erdoğan, who gave statements as witnesses within the scope of the investigation launched into Ayşe Barım, the founder and partner of ID Danışmanlık Limited Şirketi, were asked only one question.
It was learned that the actors were asked, "Whether they went to Gezi Park of their own free will or if they participated at the direction of Ayşe Barım."
DETENTION CLAIMS DENIED
Journalist Emrullah Erdinç stated in a post on social media that the claims that "the actors were detained" were not true. Erdinç said, "None of the names who gave statements are in custody. The only person in custody within the scope of the investigation is Ayşe Barım."
INVESTIGATION EXPANDING
Prosecutor's office officials announced that the investigation is ongoing and that other actors whose statements have not yet been taken will also be called as witnesses.
